2012-2013 Student Government Elections

The current Student Government Executive Board is Phil Lucas (President), George Mansour (Executive Vice President), Annie Knoff (VP Finance), and Joy Sportel (VP Public Relations).

President | 2012 Candidates

(UFC) Brandon Hartwick is an Architecture major in his junior year.  He has served as the Vice President of Finance on 2 consecutive executive boards.  Brandon is actively involved in University Housing as a Resident Assistant in South Housing.  Brandon is from a small town of Cass City, located in the thumb of Michigan.  Brandon's main focus is to provide a voice for the students and to make sure every students voice is heard.

(FIRST) Demetrius Johnson is a junior in the dual major program of Computer & Electrical Engineering. I have held various positions in several different organizations on campus. I am currently a member of the Artist Guild, Order of Omega, and Sigma Pi Fraternity, International. I am currently serving on the elected board of IFC as the Judicial Chairmen. I am also a Student Ambassador, through the Admissions Office. From all of these positions and organizations, I have gained a lot of leadership experience.

Executive Vice President | 2012 Candidates

(FIRST) My name is Lauren McNichol, and I am a junior in the dual Architecture and Construction Management program. I am very involved on campus: I am the SPAM Events Programming Director, a First Year Mentor, and the sweetheart of Sigma Pi Fraternity. I have been very involved with Student Government since 9th grade, and hope to use the leadership skills I have obtained to become a part of a successful Student Government for the 2012-2013 school year.

(UFC) Joy Sportel is a senior in the Architecture department expecting to graduate after the Spring semester. She works as the Assistant to the Resident Hall Coordinator and enjoys collage and other art forms in her free time. Previously a player on the LTU Varsity volleyball team, she now plays beach and in a recreational league whenever she has time.  Originally from Kalamazoo, she still makes the two hour trek home quite often to spend time with her family.

Vice President of Finance | 2012 Candidates

(UFC) I'm Annie Knoff, a Third year student at LTU studying Industrial Design. I have worked in Housing, as a first year mentor, and in the Admissions Office. I have served on the Executive board of Delta Tau Sigma as Secretary and President, and have served as Treasurer of Student Government. I am also a member of Order of Omega, a Greek Honor Society.  I feel that I have a good understanding of what the Students of Lawrence Tech want out of their University experience, but love to hear input and new ideas. As LTU becomes bigger and focuses on athletics and the "University Feeling" I want to make sure that the wants and needs of our student body are not forgotten. I'm always on campus, so don't hesitate to pass on your input.

(FIRST) My name is Ben Rohde and I am currently a sophomore pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. I am a member of Sigma Pi Fraternity, which I am currently the Treasurer of the organization which deals with the finances and budgets.

Vice President of Public Relations | 2012 Candidates

(FIRST) My name is George Bellman and I am going to Lawrence Tech for Architectural Engineering. I am a member of Sigma Pi Fraternity International, an Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America, and a Cadet Senior Master Sergeant in the Civil Air Patrol. With all this experience, I would like to get even more involved with programs LTU have to offer.

(UFC) My name Is Jaleel Graham. I am from Chester, PA and a second year student at Lawrence Technological University studying graphic design. My hobbies include doing graphic work, working out, playing video games, and hanging with friends. I am a member of Alpha Sigma Phi fraternity- Gamma Psi chapter here at Lawrence Technological University where I am the Recruitment Director. Also at Lawrence Technological University, I am a Resident Assistant on the 2nd floor of North Housing. My mindset is if you can put your mind to it, you can do it.
