Michigan Council of Women in Technology has a generous new University scholarship program for women students in IT and other related technology areas. The deadline for accepting applications is January 31, 2011. The $10,000 scholarship can help female complete their information technology education at Lawrence Tech.
The eligibility requirements and the scope of areas where students would be eligible includes information technology, computer engineering, graphic design ( a complete list is included. This scholarship is also available to women in graduate studies.
ELIGIBILITY
An applicant must be a female high-school student (entering college), undergraduate or graduate level student who is:
- a resident of the State of Michigan
- a United States Citizen
- a student with a minimum of a 2.8 GPA
Each applicant must be enrolled during the grant period in a full-time or part-time undergraduate or graduate degree program in:
- Information Systems
- Business Applications
- Computer Science
- Instructional Technology
- Health Technology
- Computer Engineering
- Software Engineering
- Information Security
- Graphics Design
- Music Technology
